NPP has turned economy around - Kan Dapaah

Aburi (E/R), Nov. 9, GNA- The Minister of Communication and Technology, Mr Albert Kan Dapaah has noted that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), had turn the economic fortunes of the country, "and there were signs of better times to come."

Mr Kan Dapaah who was speaking at a mini-durbar organized in his honour at Aburi by the Chief and people, as part of his campaign tour of the Eastern Region, asked Ghanaians to compare the first term of the NPP with the 19 years the former President, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings ruled the country under the erstwhile Provisional National Defence Council and the National Democratic Congress.

He said the Government had fulfilled its electoral promises and was ready to do more for the country.

Mr Kan Dapaah announced that the telephone system at Aburi would be modernized before the end of the year.

The Regional Chairman of the NPP, Nana Adi Ankama introduced the NPP parliamentary candidate for Aburi-Nsawam Constituency.

The Chief of Aburi, Aburihene Otoobour Djan Kwasi, commended the Government for the rehabilitation works on the Tetteh Quarshie round about, the Mamfi- Nsawam-Aburi road and the road network in the Aburi Botanical Gardens.
