Deputy General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Mr. Yaw Asani Tano says the New Patriotic Party is more confused than the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to Mr. Asani, there is no way that the NPP will come into power with the kind of unnecessary tantrums they are throwing around.

Speaking as a panel on Capital TV’s political program “Ghana 1st”, the Nkrumahist blasted leaders and executives of the NPP for allowing their “egoistic thinking” style get in the way of their campaign strategy.

Mr Asani recalled that in 2012, this same “egoistic thinking” style led to the NPP losing the elections.

He further made the assertion that, the NDC was proactive enough to use the “Thank you Tour” they embarked on following the death of late president John Evans Attah Mills as means of campaigning. This move according to the CPP loyalist contributed to the NDC’s winning course in 2012.

He reiterated that, NPP communicators and serial callers are working round the clock to bring the NPP into power but leaders like Nana Addo who go abroad to make unnecessary statements are not doing their party any good. He again stated that, elections are won here in the country and not abroad.

It can be recalled that the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party recently addressed party loyalists in Modena, Italy where he described the Mahama government as “confused”.
