Deputy Communications Director of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Ernest Owusu Bempah, has raised the hopes of his party faithful, assuring them of victory, come 2016.
Ernest Owusu Bempah called on Ghanaians to brace themselves as the NDP gears up to take power from the hands of President John Dramani Mahama.
Contributing to a panel discussion programme on Oman FM, Owusu Bempah vowed that his party will definitely be tops over the ruling National Democratic Congress and the major opposition New Patriotic Party during the 2016 general elections.
This, he stated, is because the incumbent government has failed to tackle the economic issues confronting the Ghanaian citizenry. According to him, under the leadership of President John Mahama and his government, the moral fabric of the nation has decayed amidst bad governance systems that have characterized his administration.
He cited issues of corruption, the sale of Merchant Bank to Fortiz Private Equity Fund Ltd among other issues, as failures on the part of the administration to ensure good governance.
“Ghana is a failed State and we should be ashamed of ourselves; everybody. A nation that does not respect law, fails to work with the law and does not put the rule of law into practice, don’t deserve to be a democratic State because where we are heading toward, we’re preparing this place for chaos and anarchy.
“We will take power. NDP will take power 2016; you mark it on the wall…Because we’re also serious. Opposition NPP, you don’t want it. You’re not serious to take power," he stated.
