The Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr, has counselled Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a founder member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to cease from fueling the propaganda theories of his party’s political opponents by bandying accusations about that there is systemic ethnic skewing within the leadership of the elephant party.
He described as worrisome Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe’s tagging of the NPP as tribalistic, since he believes the NPP capo cannot justify his claims.
“The ethic twist he (Nyaho-Tamakloe) raised is a little worrying. His assertion that majority of the NPP’s national aspirants' disqualification was tribal is not factual. I am worried…Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe is my friend and I like him…I have to be honest.
“…If Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe will give heed to my advice, his reputation is something we all want to safeguard and I want to defend him in principle in terms of his reputation and integrity. He has suffered a lot for this country,” Kweku Baako said.
Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe is reported to have said that the composition of the party’s vetting committee is lopsided and has no fair ethnic representation. This he believes led to the disqualification of at least five Northerners aspiring for various positions in the NPP upcoming national executive’s congress.
Speaking on Peace FM’s morning show KOKROKOO, the seasoned journalist stressed that, “sometimes the NPP are victims of the NDC (National Democratic Congress) propaganda and they (NPP) become so victimized that they themselves start pushing that line and it's self-destructive.”
