NPP is printing propaganda leaflets against me - Mahama

As the political season gets heated with just five days to the elections, the Presidential candidate of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), President John Mahama has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of plotting to release printed propaganda leaflets against him and his party on Monday.

The President revealed that though his party had intercepted copies of the leaflets, it will remain resolute because Ghanaians were discerning and will treat the said information with the contempt it deserved.

Addressing party supporters at Weija Gbawe in the Greater Accra Region, President Mahama stated that the NDC was a party of peace and will therefore desist from personality attacks.

“We have heard that from Monday, they will start printing their lies and insults for distribution across the country. We know where the printing is taking place and we have seen what they will be churning out. They should continue in their ways but it is God who makes a President and no matter the lies you spread about me, and if God says you will not be President, you will not be.”

He continued: “We want peace and so we don’t insult anybody. In this upcoming election, let us vote in peace and we know we will be victorious so we don’t want any violence and disturbances. However, those who know they will lose the elections want to disrupt the game.”
