Mr Joseph Osei Owusu, Member of Parliament for Bekwai, has appealed to the New Patriotic Party supporters to be decorous in their campaigns ahead of the Party’s parliamentary primaries on Saturday.
They should desist from the use of abusive language, insults and other destructive acts that would have a negative image for the Party in the run-up to the national elections in December.
Addressing some party supporters after a work-out session at Bekwai, Mr Osei Owusu advised delegates and supporters to follow the laid down procedures of the Party to resolve whatever problems they might have.
He called for unity of purpose in the Party as they prepared for the 2020 general elections to ensure that the Party retained power.
Mr Osei Owusu, who is also the First Deputy Speaker in Parliament, commended the members in the Constituency for their support and urged them to work together to ensure a resounding victory for the December elections.
Bekwai Constituency has become one of the hotspots of the Party following the disqualification of Mr Amofa Agyeman one of the contestants in the primaries by the National Executive Committee.
The decision did not go down well with some Party supporters who had since then embarked on a series of protests and agitations and thereby, creating tension and divisions in the Party.
