The Fomena Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwasi Nti Asamoah has vowed to resign from his position if the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Fomena Lawyer Andrew Amoako Asiamah secures 40% of the total delegates vote in the coming New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries.

Numerous issues have emerged in the Constituency following the misunderstanding between the MP, Lawyer Amoah Andrews and the Constituency executives concerning the delegates album in the Constituency.

Constituency Chairman Kwasi Nti in an interview with Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo said Fomena delegates and party supporters have regretted for voting for an incompetent MP to lead this constituency after he failed to deliver on his mandate

“I will vote against him (Lawyer Amoah Andrews) in the coming primaries and I know majority of the delegates are ready to vote against him. I will do everything within my power to unseat him. Lawyer Amoah Andrews does not deserve to lead Fomena Constituency again” he said.

“If he pays GHS1000 to buy votes, I’m ready to pay GHS1500. I don’t hate him but he hates the party that’s why he sued the party concerning delegates’ album” he added.

Chairman Akwasi Nti made this statement when an aspiring Member of Parliament Philip Ofori Asante files his forms to contest Fomena parliamentary seat in the ticket of NPP.
