NPP pushing NDC supporters to vote against NDC candidates- Asiedu Nketia

The NDC is accusing the NPP of pushing its supporters to vote against their parliamentary candidates in the impending December election.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia claimed the NPP had resorted to the move after realizing that their Presidential candidate Nana Akufo Addo had already lost the election.

Addressing various rallies at Techiman, Wenchi, Nsawkaw and Kintampo all in the Bono Ahafo region as part of President Mahama’s campaign tour of the region, Mr. Asiedu Nketia cautioned the party’s rank and file not to be swayed into this move.

He described the development as a ploy by the opposition party to get President Mahama’s policies and vision crippled, because an NPP majority in parliament will never approve anything good coming from the President.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia also called on the people to treat the NPP’s promise of offering free SHS education if elected in December, as one of the many failed promises they had made to Ghanaians.

According to “General Mosquito” as he is popularly known, the NDC has uncovered a scheme by their opponents to intensify what he described as “campaign of lies and insults,” with just a few weeks to the elections.

He has therefore asked his party supporters to remain calm since the NPP cannot rig this year’s election as they did in the past.

He said the biometric voting to be used in this year’s elections will make the elections free and fair.
