NPP race: Alan dares competitors to show achievements

New Patriotic Party flagbearer aspirant, Alan Kyerematen, has challenged his fellow contestants to show evidence of their achievements to delegates as they campaign to lead the party in the 2016 elections.

According to the former trades minister, the party requires the leadership of a business oriented individual who can turn things around for the country if elected as president.

“When they come to you, let them show you what they have done before. Ask them what their track records are and why you should vote for them to lead our party” he urged delegates on Oman FM, Thursday.

Kyerematen added:” For me, my records are there for all to see, my business prowess dates back in our history and many of our elders can testify to my records. I am challenging delegates to vote for me to lead this party because I can turn things around for our party and Ghana at large."

The former Ghana ambassador to the US also reiterated his promise to institute a salary regime for permanent party officials if elected as flagbearer in the October 18 Conference of the party.

He will contest the party’s two-time presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo and MP Francis Addai Nimoh for the standard bearer slot in the October conference.
