NPP race: My strategy will not change – Akufo-Addo

NPP flagbearer aspirant, Nana Akufo-Addo, says his strategy will not change as he goes into the October 18 conference of the party to elect a flagbearer for the 2016 elections.

The former Attorney General garnered over 80 percent of votes in a mini congress organised to reduce the number of flagbearer aspirants from seven to five as stipulated by the party's constitution.

“I think I have to show my appreciation to the people for their overwhelming support. Because of the time limit, I cannot go to every constituency. I will rather be meeting people in blocks so I can get my message through”, the former foreign affairs minister told Citi FM on Monday.

Akufo-Addo is heading for Wa in the Upper West region to continue his campaign for the mega conference in October.

He will have to beat his main rival, former Trade minister, Alan Kyeremanten and two others in order to lead the party for the third time.
