NPP's Atta Akyea denies writting Otabil's 'evil' speech

Abuakwa South MP Samuel Atta Akyea has denied writing Dr. Mensa Otabil’s statement in which the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church described as evil, the use of his sermons for political purposes.

The Herald Newspaper claimed Atta Akyea, a member of the Church drafted the statement read by Dr. Otabil at his news conference on Monday.

But Atta Akyea in an interview with XYZ News said the publication is a concoction.

“It has been over three months now I have never met Otabil and he has never called me to come help him write a speech.

“Otabil is a colossus of a mind and I am too small to think for him. I have not been involved in what Otabil is doing and this is yet another palpable lie coming from that Larry Dogbe who keeps lying about me.

“It is false and it is totally false; this does not glorify God”.

But editor of the Herald Newspaper, Larry Dogbe insist his story is not a concoction.

According to him, it is not surprising that Mr. Atta Akyea is denying the story since he has always lied anytime stories are published about him.

He stated that he has evidence to support his claims that Mr. Atta Akyea was involved in the writing of Dr. Otabil’s speech and would provide his evidence at the appropriate time.
