NPP’s defeat is imminent; the signs are clear - Mustapha Gbande

Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mustapha Gbande has stated that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is failing to recognise signs of defeat in the upcoming presidential elections.

Speaking in an interview on Onua TV monitored by GhanaWeb on Thursday, September 19, 2024, he explained that while the NDC is familiar with signs of electoral defeat, the NPP seems oblivious to them.

“If there is anybody to learn from, it is the NPP. We have lost elections before. We know the signs. The NPP's knowledge has failed them. When your knowledge fails you, the only thing that can save you is your wisdom. They are not even applying wisdom to find out that the people of Ghana do not want them to lead this country again. God has denied them wisdom.

"Most of the support base of the party is now working for the NDC, Justin Koduah has become an armchair executive. I feel sad because people within the NPP are running down the party," he stated.

He said the NPP cannot see that their defeat in the 2024 elections is imminent.

"They don’t see the signs. If they see it, they will begin to pack their things. They will lose the elections, and they will regret it if they dare to rig the upcoming elections," he stated.
