Two communicators of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region have been fired for tagging the Deputy Regional Minister as incompetent.

Mr Johnson Ayine and Mr Wilson Dabou have since been asked to stop representing the party on various media platforms according to a statement issued by the Regional Communications Officer, Issah Sanusi.

MyNewsGh.com gathered that the two-party activists were summoned before the Regional Hierarchy of the NPP over the comments and it was unanimously agreed they be relieved of their duties over the comments which are deemed demeaning.

Meanwhile, a letter communicating their conduct reads” The New Patriotic Party in the Upper East Region has suspended two of its Regional communications team members, Mr. Johnson Ayine and Mr Wilson Dabou respectively.

The decision was taken after the Regional Executives met on 19th July 2019 to look into their conduct and they found to have misconducted themselves during a talk show at A1 Radio on a program “Day break Upper East”.

The party wishes to caution all its members of the Regional communications team to be circumspect at all levels of representing the party to avoid similar sanction.

By this statement Mr. Johnson Ayine and Mr Wilson Dabou will no longer represent the party at various media houses, so all should take note. Thank you!”
