NPP split over Nana

Even before the dust settles on Justice Attuguba’s marathon verdict and its ramification some elements within the NPP who are yet to study the cause of the party’s abysmal performance in the 2008 and 2012 elections, have started theatrical comedies to hold on to their positions in the National Executive Committee of the Party and continue to mislead Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo that he is still the people’s choice even though their hidden agenda is to ride on his woes to hold on to their positions and the contributions of wealthy party members and sympathisers whose contributions they have fed fat on to the detriment of the NPP coming to power.

Led by the now disgruntled General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party,(NPP) Owusu Afriyie also known as Sir John and his boss Jake Okanta Obetsebi Lamptey whose tenure as Chairman of the NPP boosted the party’s image to the skies but failed to use his vast experience in Public Relations to wrestle power from the NDC .

Fact is that Jake and his team failed on all fronts to counter the electoral fraud the NDC had outlined to win the 2012 elections even though the vocal MP for Assin South had blown the lid several years before Akuffo Addo was misled by the likes of Egbert Fabille, a former Tsatsu Tsikata boy, Gabby Otchere Darko, Ursula Owusu and a host of praise singers to believe the 2012 elections was a done deal with his 2-year door to door campaign.

To these affable politicians elections are won on the pages of newspapers instead of establishing solid party structures, infiltrating the opponent’s camp and countering its rigging machine.

Having been dazed by Atubuga and his panel whose verdict is likely to hunt them like the late Justice Ako Korsah, these gracious characters are unashamedly rooting for a Nana Akuffo Addo 2016 campaign that is being mocked by NDC strategists.

Intelligence sources within the NPP speak of a tsunami dubbed Bawumia Must Win, BMW that is sweeping across the length and breadth of the country. National Digest Intelligence sources within the NPP suggest the 2016 BMW Campaign is being championed by a sizeable number of NPP MPs, Ex-DCEs and party foot soldiers. Strangely enough diehard Allan sympathisers are said to have embraced the Bawumai/Allan ticket which undoubtedly can give the corruption ridden Mahama/Ammisah Arthur ticket a run for their money.

With Ghanaians amply calling for a change there is no doubt that a properly managed and packaged Bawumia/Alan ticket can whip John Mahama at the polls, even though the NDC as usual will use the largely partisan press and discredited pollsters to predict doom for the NPP in 2016.

Now that he is not in the good books 0f the party it will also not be strange if Wireko Brobbey joins the fray to the bewilderment of all considering his exploits at VRA and Ghana at 50. Kennedy who National Digest Intelligence gathers is allegedly appeasing the NDC for a professional favour may also have a surprise under his sleeve and Kwame Painim may be courted by leading members of the NDC to break the NPP front.
