A member of the communication team of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Nenugbo Mawugbe has predicted that the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), will by September 2016 elect a new presidential candidate because his chances of winning are slim.

According to him, he has picked very reliable information from some key functionaries with the elephant family that, after accessing the chances of their ''failed presidential candidate'', the party will lose the elections, hence their decision to re-elect a new presidential candidate.

The NDC communicator was speaking in an interview with Rainbow Radio's Kwame Tutu on Frontline, the morning show.

Nenugbo Mawugbe opined that ''Nana Addo has become the worst leader in Ghana's history under the Danquah Busia Tradition. He has failed to unite his party. This makes him a failed leader in Ghana's history.''

He explained, Nana Addo does not come close to President Mahama in terms of leadership, delivery, and capacity to work as President of the Republic.

''Between President Mahama and Nana Addo; President Mahama is much much ahead of Nana Addo, in terms of delivery and leadership. In terms of capacity to be elected as President of Ghana, Nana Addo comes nowhere. Look at the current state of the NPP which he leads. The party is at the crossroads.''

He added, ''following these developments, the NPP are considering re-electing a new candidate to represent the party. The NPP after evaluating their chances, they have concluded that Nana Addo as a candidate cannot win for the party hence their decision to change him. This information is coming from a reliable source and am sure you will tap me on the shoulder when the NPP finally takes that decision,'' he told the host.

''The NPP under Nana Addo is violent, intolerant and full of chaos. This is not a party Ghanaians want to govern this nation. Nana does not have a message. He lacks the capacity as a leader to govern this country.''

Koku Nenugbo Mawugbe concluded, the NDC under the leadership of President Mahama has united the party and they are poised for victory 2016.
