NPP won Election 2016 two years ago - Wontumi

Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi) - Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi) - Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, says the presidential battle for the 2016 elections was won two years ago.

According to him, the NDC lost the battle in 2014, during the echelon of the ruling party's absymal performance where Ghanaians were subjected to severe economic conditions including the energy crisis.

Speaking on NEAT FM in an interview with Adakabre Frimpong Manso, Chairman Wontumi said the victory of the NPP was signed and sealed, stressing that nothing can prevent Nana Addo from being declared winner in the 2016 elections.

The Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman noted that not even the machinations by the NDC, led by the two brothers of the President, Alfred and Ibrahim Mahama will be enough to salvage them.

He therefore sounded caution to the ruling party that he and his executives in the region were very much aware of the manipulations and the naked attempt to steal the mandate of the people.

Chairman Wontumi further revealed that he is also very much in the known about the assasination plots against him, stressing that every plan hatched by the ruling party is publicly known to him.

"I know what they are doing at Number Six, I know they released some people from prison to kill me, others were asked to set fires on markets in Kumasi, we have all the information right here. I want to tell President Mahama and his people that they can run but they can't hide," he warned.
