The home of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Alhaji Issahaku Tahiru Moomin has been vandalized by thugs suspected to be New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth.

The houses of other members believed to be closer to the MCE were equally not spared in the attack on Sunday afternoon.

It is gathered that the MCE and family were not home at the time of the attack but property running into several thousands of Ghana cedis were destroyed in the raid by the thugs.

There appears to be a serious misunderstanding between the MCE and the Constituency Chairman one Ali Kamara over what is yet to be made public being the aftermath of the 2016 elections.

Last week the Ali Kamara on a local radio station, run down the MCE who was the 2016 New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Wa central, depicting why he is not fit for the position.

He revealed why he refused to campaign for him as the party’s Parliamentary Candidate (PC), saying, winning the presidential seat was his utmost concern and not the parliamentary seat.

The Chairman, however, denied claims he chose to campaign for the NDC PC and Member of Parliament for Wa Central, Alhaji Dr. Rashid Pelpuo and challenged anyone who had evidence to come forward with it.

He alleged that monies and other resources were kept and used by the Parliamentary Candidate Alhaji Isshaku Tahiru Moomin without recourse to him who is the Constituency Chairman.

Further citing reasons why he did not get involve to campaigning for Alhaji Issahaku Tahiru Moomin to win his parliamentary seat, he said he was using his personal funds to campaign, hence saw no reason why he should campaign for a candidate who kept funds meant for the whole electioneering exercise to himself
