NUGS President attends the Commonwealth Youth Forum and General Assembly meeting in London

The President of the National Union of Ghana Students  (NUGS), Elisha Oheneba Essumang has left the country, upon the invitation of the National Youth Authority and the Commonwealth Youth Council, to lead the Ghanaian Youth delegation to the Commonwealth Youth Forum and General Assembly at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meetting (CHOGM) in London on the theme; "Towards a Common Future"

The President of NUGS will participate in the Commonwealth General Assembly of the Commonwealth Youth Council (CYC) and exercise their franchise as official Youth Delegates to elect executives for CYC for the next two years, with two Ghanaians; Miss Abena Dugan and Miss Eunice Eleanor Klinogo contesting for the CYC Vice Chair (Partnership and Resources) and the (African Representation) positions of tge CYC respectively.

While there, the NUGS President shall hold series of meetings and engagement with the Youth Councils in the Pacific’s, Caribbean among others and the Ghanaian Students in London.

He was accompanied by the NUGS General Secretary, Miss Mercy Asamani, the International Relations Secretary, Miss. Eunice Foriwaa Bempong; the Head of CAYE, Ghana, Mr Sharif Ghali; and officials of the National Youth Authority, and the Pan-African Youth Union, PYU.

President Essumang and the Ghana delegation will return to Ghana on the 25th April, 2018, and in his absence and the General Secretary, Mr Dennis Omama Frimpong, the Treasurer of NUGS, shall in accordance with Article 41(b) of the NUGS Constitution, act in his stead.
