Namoale Runs Over Love Scandal

Nii Amasah Namoale, Member of Parliament for La Dadekotopon and a ‘pet child’ of Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, has become a wanted man in his own constituency over reports that he is pushing an alleged secret lover for a top position and has therefore fled the country with his tails between his legs says information reaching DAYBREAK.

The MP doubles as a deputy Minister for Agric and his constituents are enraged over his vowed stance that his personal secretary, Rita Sowah, who is still in school, should at all cost become the municipal Chief Executive of the newly formed Dadekotopon Municipality.

Over the years, Nii Amasah has been accused of having an illicit love affair with the lady in question and though he has consistently denied the accusation and called for evidence, his accusers also insist ‘no sensible married man flirts in the market square.’

Rita Sowah’s MCE dream is being challenged on the grounds that she does not have the competence and qualification needed for the job and the situation got out of hand a fortnight ago when Amasah Namoale went on Peace Fm and confirmed that he was truly working behind the scenes and writing letters to the corridors of power to get his personal secretary as the MCE at all cost.

Namoale, during the Peace FM interview said he had so much confidence in Rita Sowah that he was even ready to abandon his Parliamentary seat over the issue just to shame his accusers but he would not stop lobbying for her to become MCE for Dadekotopon.

A few hours after the Peace Fm interview, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) members within the constituency summoned a General Meeting at the La Neighborhood Center where Namoale’s conduct was tabled for discussions.
DAYBREAK reports say tempers were so flared up that wild invectives and swear words were yelled and if not for the fact that the MP was cautioned on his arrival, not to attend the meeting he might have been assaulted.
Some of the members present, spearheaded by a certain Akpo Akrantie, were said to have threatened to go public with startling details on the MP’s secret lifestyle if he dared step foot on the meeting ground. They mentioned the names of a certain Tina and a two year old girl, Shiela.
Namoale has since then not been seen anywhere near the constituency with conflicting reports of his whereabouts. He however constantly updates his Facebook wall over the Rita Sowah issue and uses the open social network platform to attack key party persons who he accuses of being responsible for his woes.
His two Facebook accounts Hon. Nii Amasah Namoale and Nii Amasah Namoale (Hon) have become his means of communication with his constituents as he regularly updates the two walls with comments on how he is frustrated about developments in his constituency.
DABREAK checks on the MP’s whereabouts say he has been hopping from Dubai to Seoul and that he would probably return to Ghana only when flared tempers are calmed down.
Nii Amasah Namoale would not respond to phone calls DAYBREAK made to his vodafone number though the phone is on roaming and it is confirmed he travelled with it.
Meanwhile, reports say constituents of Dadekotopon are organizing themselves to hit the streets over the issue but are waiting for his arrival.
