A fully furnished two-unit kindergarten classroom block with an office, dining room, and sleeping lobby has been constructed for Nangbagu M/A Primary School in the Sagnarigu Municipality of the Northern Region.
A four-seater toilet facility (KVIP) and a urinal were also constructed to complement the kindergarten block, serving as an early childhood development center.
Teaching and learning materials (TLMs) were supplied to the facility, including outdoor play equipment, to create a conducive learning environment.
The facilities and TLMs were provided by the Markaz Al Bishara Child Development Programme (MABCDP) with funding support from Children Believe, an international NGO.
Esenam Kavi De Souza, Country Director of Children Believe, speaking at a ceremony to hand over the facilities and items to the school authorities, expressed the organization’s commitment to supporting and promoting early childhood education in the country.
She stated that the organization had so far funded the construction of 32 fully furnished early childhood development blocks in partnership with national NGOs.
She encouraged parents to enroll their children in school early and at the appropriate age.
Alhassan Alidu Junior, Northern Regional Director of Education, expressed gratitude to MABCDP and Children Believe for providing the facilities.
He assured that the Ghana Education Service, in collaboration with the School Management Committee, would ensure the proper management of the facilities to serve many generations.
