Ghanaians from all walks dedicated today, 25th March 2020 to prayer and fasting to seek the face of God as the world battles Coronavirus.

This is in compliance with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s declaration of a national day for fasting and prayers.

Ghanaians all over the country are crying out to God in prayer to save the country and the entire world from the deadly disease which has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation.

Leaders of various churches are using social media and other platforms to reach their members and to encourage them to take part in the exercise and here at GhanaWeb, we engaged some pastors from various parts of the country to share words of prayer with the country.

Even though the recovery rate is higher than that of death, new cases are being recorded globally at an alarming rate with Italy currently being the worst hit.

A vaccine is yet to be developed to fight the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the virus has claimed close to 20,000 lives with over 400,000 cases worldwide. Ghana has recorded 68 cases with 2 confirmed deaths and 1 reported death as at midday 25th March 2020.
