The Deputy Minority Chief Whip in Parliament and Member of Parliament for Banda constituency, Ahmed Ibrahim has described Ghana's National Security as a 'paralyzed' and 'polluted' institution.

According to him, the National Security has now become an institution responsible for training Militia and Vigilante groups in the country.

“Manasseh's exposed is a confirmation that Ghana’s Security is under threat because it has become incapable in executing its core duties,” he said.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he revealed that the investigation by Manasseh has exposed President Akufo-Addo and his governement in their activities.

“De-Eye group is a multiple talented group of people who are widespread across the whole country fully armed and trained to perform a particular work . . . the future democracy of this nation is shaken if we allow Akufo-Addo and his Militia group continue in power,” he said.

He stressed that prior to the 2016 election, the then-candidate Akufo-Addo accused former President John Mahama of bringing in GITMO 2 as they posed a security threat to the nation, but he (Nana Addo) has allowed ‘De-Eye Group’ to operate under his watch which to him is more dangerous than the GITMO 2.

“De-Eye group is training over 5000 youth on what purpose . . . ? If we are going to use Militia and Vigilantism in 2020 elections Akufo-Addo and NPP should let us know," he said.

He has therefore called on the government to accept its fault than defending it.
