Some private and public institutions have started rejecting National Service Personnel who have been posted to their outfits for some reasons. The personnel were turned away primarily because of lack of space to accommodate the personnel or mismatch with the educational qualification and place of posting.

Some of the rejected National Service Personnel took to social media to post feedback on their posting letters rejecting them in no uncertain terms.

In one such case, the National Service Personnel was rejected because the outfit was of the view that there might have been some influence in the posting of that particular person.

Another personnel was rejected on the basis of not having enough experience for the place of posting.

The third rejection letter that was sighted gave its reason for the rejection was based on the fact that the service personnel rejected the desired place of posting being offered to the personnel by the outfit.

However, PRO at the National Service Secretariat, Ambrose Entsiwa has indicated that the matter would be looked into and addressed speedily.

National Youth Organizer of ruling NPP has also added his voice and has said that the situation is quite worrying. This year, National Service Personnel have been subjected to a lot of problems in their registrations.
