As the world celebrates women in the month of March, Ghanaian women have been charged to confront obstacles and challenges they may encounter in their quest to attain greatness and make an impact in society.

Young CEOs breaking grounds in their various fields shared their success stories at the maiden edition of the National Women's Summit held at the Accra International Conference Center on Thursday, March 9.

Chairperson for the event, Dr. Joyce Aryee, touched on the essence and need for women to maximize opportunities around them, as well as create their very own prospects with which they can improve their current statuses.

CEO of Airtel Ghana, Lucy Quist, CEO of Forever Clair, Grace Amey-Obeng and several other panelists who graced the occasion, took turns to motivate young entrepreneurs who attended the event. They urged them to thrust forward, looking past obstacles and to press on towards excellence.

They hinged on the importance of integrity, authenticity and professionalism as a vital tool for success.

The National Women’s Summit is the first of its kind being organized in the country and it comes a day after the International Women’s day which was extensively celebrated all over the world.

The event themed; 'Bold for change' was aimed at bringing together young professionals and entrepreneurs to share experiences, motivate, support and inspire each other, to achieve aspirations as women and to facilitate gender parity.
