National security drills four boreholes for C/R Hospital

The National Security has drilled four boreholes at the Central Regional Hospital, to prevent possible closure of the health facility because of acute water shortage in the Cape Coast metropolis.

The provision of the four boreholes, forms part the initiative by national security to drill 10 boreholes at strategic locations in the metropolis, to help curb the recent water crisis in Cape Coast and its environs.

Mr. Adjei Frimpong, the hospital administrator, who made this known in an interview with the GNA in Cape Coast on Wednesday, commended the national security for its prompt response to the plight of the health institution.

He said that two of the boreholes were located at the hospital premises whiles one each was located at the doctors and nurses flats.

It is recalled that, in the past three weeks, Cape Coast and its environs have been hit by acute water shortage, resulting in the management of the Central Regional Hospital threatening to close down the facility if it is not provided with water.
