Nayele's family fight NACOB officials over 'cocaine' properties

Officials of NACOB were on Monday evening engaged in a scuffle with the family of Nayele Ametefe, the lady at the centre of the 12.5kg cocaine bust, StarrFMonline.com has gathered.

The NACOB officials, according to our sources had gone to the East-Legon residence of the suspect in Accra to post a court order warning the family against any attempt to sell any of her properties or change ownership while her trial is ongoing.

The mother of Ruby Appiah as Nayele is also known, is heard on a tape recording preventing the NACOB officials from posting the notice on the property.

She is also alleged to have assaulted an official of the state security agency.

The pink painted five-bedroom apartment is believed to be one of the numerous properties of Miss Ametefe scattered in Accra.

Meanwhile, the Isleworth Crown Court in the UK will decide the fate of Ametefe today after the trial was postponed yesterday, Monday January 5.

The 32-year-old is believed to have used the VVIP Lounge of Ghana’s only international airport – Kotoka – in the capital Accra to smuggle the prohibited substance outside the shores of the West African country via a British Airways flight.

According to preliminary investigations, she was aided by three Ghanaian security and foreign affairs officials who are also standing trial in Ghana.
