Nduom Picks David

David Ampofo, Executive Director of Channel Two and host of hard-hitting, and at times, controversial talk show 'Time with David' has joined the Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom Convention People?s Party (CPP) Presidential Campaign Team as its political strategist.

The media colossus, who is credited with enviable international academic profile, according to official sources, is participating in the political activities of Dr. Nduom from a professional perspective following his personal commitment to the CPP tradition.

This was contained in a release to the media on Friday to the effect that Ampofo had officially joined the Nduom-08 Team as its Campaign Strategist.

?David will be responsible for developing and refining the campaign strategy and message and for ensuring a positive delivery of Dr. Nduom?s vision for Ghana. He will manage the communications program and support the re-branding efforts of the CPP.

He will be the Lead Spokesperson of the campaign team,? said the release.

The statement, dated 23rd December, 2007 and signed by Mr. Felix Amoah, chairman of the campaign team, noted that Ampofo would however continue to pursue his professional engagements as CEO of Channel Two Communications and as Executive Producer of Time with David, adding that he would take a leave of absence as host of the program during the period of his participation in the Campaign Team.

?A Guest Host carefully selected by David will ensure the continuation of the program,? it indicated.

A visibly elated Nduom, in his comment, said: ?This is the kind of professional we are pleased to have on board?.

Responding, Ampofo is reported as saying: ?The time has come for all of us who are inspired by Kwame Nkrumah to put our shoulders to the wheel and return the CPP back to its winning ways. Ghana beckons.?

Having completed a Masters Degree in Journalism, David has traveled extensively and lived for a number of years in Cuba.
