Nduom floods KEEA with 500 jobs

President of Groupe Nduom (GN,) Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has unveiled plans to create more jobs for residents in the Central region.

And this time around, his focus is his own municipality, Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirim (KEEA) in the central region, where he has promised to create about five hundred (500) new jobs for various rural areas in the municipality.

Addressing Assembly members in the KEEA municipality yesterday, Dr. Nduom indicated his resolve to partner the KEEA to spread jobs to the rural setting.

Revealing his job plan for KEEA, the president of Groupe Nduom disclosed that a shopping mall, machine shop, a University and Television station are among the list of new companies that he will establish in the municipality.

To this end, Dr. Nduom pleaded with the KEEA to make available to him land to enable him commence the projects.

Dr. Nduom’s vision for the KEEA was welcomed by the Assemblymen, who attended the programme.

And significantly, many of them [the Assembly members] were seen pleading with Dr. Nduom to provide jobs not only in his native Elmina but also in other adjoining communities.

They shared the sentiment of the man nicknamed ‘Edwumawura’ that the provision of the jobs would prevent the influx of energetic youth from the area to the Western and Greater Accra regional capitals in search of non-existing jobs.

The Assemblymen in separate interviews with this paper said they had no reason to doubt Dr. Nduom on the promise of providing jobs to help improve the living standards of the coastal people as they are aware he already has companies in Liberia and the United States of America. “We believe him, and we know he has the capacity to do so…but we are pleading with him not to only concentrate the job opportunities in Elmina, but spread them to other parts of the municipality,” they appealed.
