Business consultant and politician, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has indicated plans to kick start operations at an automobile center for ‘pimping’ and maintenance of vehicles in Ghana.
Speaking on Eezy FM, Dr. Nduom noted that the center, located in the Central Regional Capital currently has a physical structure and is steadily being worked on to ensure that operations fully begin soon.
The center will serve as a hub for the modification and renovation of vehicles for various purposes.
“The auto center is something we have been talking about for some time, in Elmina, this year 2017, we’ve had a lot of progress in putting up a physical structure and it should be done I hope, by the first quarter of next year (2018). It will be an auto center where you can modify vehicles so that for example you have a jeep or a pick up and you want to make it stronger, you want to have it go to all terrains and use it for all sort of purposes, they’ll modify it for you but we’ll also maintain all manner of vehicles”.
According to Dr. Nduom, plans are in place to ultimately include the assembling of cars that will serve specific purposes for various persons.
“We hope that eventually, it will be the beginning of putting an auto mobile together, assembling it because we do have a center in Virginia in the USA, a side of it, where they are piecing different parts together and soon people will see some interesting-looking vehicles, some of them huge, on the road for people who let’s say there’s an entertainer and they need a vehicle where they can sleep, where they can do all sort of things, where they can carry equipment and so on and be on the road or for people who are selling but need customized vehicle where their products will be in it, we’ll do all these sorts of modifications and maintain and train people to know what to do to a vehicle...., we are going to do that sort of specialized work from that center based in Elmina.
He also revealed plans to partner other auto mobile companies in the country to develop these ideas and make them realized.
“We have some related or sister companies who are also in the auto mobile field and they are also going to do a lot more in that area. We are going to have partners…it comes also with the sense of innovation, what is it that you can do with something that someone has simply put together like a pick-up, a salon car”.
He urged Ghanaians to utilize their brains and be innovative so as to generate good business ideas that will sell.
“The sky is the limit, in terms of our mind set”.
