New Edubiase Independence Day

New Edubiase (Ash), March 07, GNA - Mr Dominic Alfred Yeboah, the acting Adansi South District Chief Executive, took the salute at a march past of school children, students and voluntary organisations to mark the 48th Independence Day anniversary con Sunday. The DCE later read the President's anniversary address to the gathering.

In the march past, New Edubiase Methodist primary came first in the primary division while Asiamah Guahyia JSS took the first position at the JSS level and New Edubiase Secondary School was first in the SSS division.

They were presented with cash prizes.

At Ejisu, thousands of school children and voluntary organisations took part in a colourful parade held to mark the anniversary.

Mr Yaw Ahenkora-Afrifa, the acting District Chief Executive in his address, noted that the democracy would thrive well in the country if all the people accepted to play their civil responsibilities and roles. "It is important we recognise that each and everyone of us has a part to play to enhance governance of this dear nation of us". Mr Ahenkora-Afrifa therefore asked the people to do away with ethnicity and selfish ambitions to move the country forward.
