Madam Comfort Asante, the New Juaben North Municipal Chief Executive who made this known at a presentation ceremony said the disease was real and appealed to the assembly members to get involved in the education and sensitisation in their communities.
She indicated that the handwashing facilities would be placed at public places such as Suhyen, Jumapo and Oyoko community centres due to their closeness to residential homes, public toilets in the various communities, car parks, lorry stations, markets, the police station and entrance of various Chief’s palaces.
She entreated parents especially to take good care of their children while they were on break to minimise contacts as well as follow the safety measures and directives by the President and not take the virus as a joke.
