New Juaben South NDC retains old executive

Koforidua, Nov. 24, GNA - The New Juaben South Constituency branch of the National

Democratic Congress at the weekend retain all but one of the old constituency executive

members of the party at a delegates' conference at Koforidua. All the 10 members of the constituency's functional executives were retained except the

former constituency treasurer, Hajia Fati Awudu who polled 94 votes to lose her position to

Baafour K. Asianoa, who polled 114 at a marathon conference which lasted for nearly 12

hours. The main conference was preceded by the election of the women and youth organizers,

which was conducted under tension. After the election of the constituency women's organizer and the youth organizers with

their deputies, the atmosphere was cleared for the election of the other executives. The old executive members who were retained include, Andrew Asabere Awuku,

Chairman, Salifu Iddrisu, Vice-Chairman, E. Foster Tetteh, Secretary, Kponor Edwin

Joseph, Deputy Secretary, Benjamin Azamatey, Organizer, and Victor Stanley Bakah who

was elected unopposed as Deputy Organizer. The rest were Sahadatu Ibrahim, Deputy Treasurer, Gabriel Ahadzi Dela, Propaganda

Secretary, and Michael Osei, Deputy Propaganda Secretary. Janet Tagoe was elected Women Organizer with Jefferies Amma Rejoice as her deputy,

while Gbormittan Dodzi was elected Youth Organizer with Prince Mohammed Adams as his

deputy. Swearing in the newly elected officers, Mr Anthony Gyampo, Eastern Regional Secretary

of the Party congratulated the members for a peaceful conference. He called on the members to respect their elected executives and accord them the

necessary support.
