Nigerian University confers honorary degrees on Ghanaians

Legon, Oct 9, GNA - The Rector of the International Christian University (ICU), Nigeria, Reverend Professor Chidi Okefi Ezima, on Saturday conferred honorary degrees on four Ghanaian Reverend Ministers at a ceremony at University of Ghana, Legon.

The recipients are the Reverend George Adu Bonsu, popularly known as Rev. Benjillo of the Benjillo Bible School Accra, the Reverend Dr. Wilson Cee MacDonald, Overseer of the Kingdom Vision International Accra, the Reverend Ezekiel Edeyemi, Head Pastor of the Power and Truth Church Accra and the Reverend Peter K. Annor of the Grace Bible Church, Kumasi.

Rev Annor and Rev Adeyemi were conferred with Doctorate Degrees in Divinity while Rev Adu Bonsu and Rev MacDonald were awarded Doctorate Degrees in Ministry.

Eleven others who completed their courses during the 2005 academic year were presented with their Diploma in theology, Certificate in Ministry, Bachelor and Master Degree in Theology while two of them received Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) Degrees in Theology. Rev Prof Chidi Okefi Ezima ordained four other Ghanaian students from ICU as Ministers at the ceremony and charged them to go into the world and win souls for Christ.

Other officiating Ministers at the ordination were the Reverend Dr. Joseph Kweku Asante, Ghana Co-Coordinator and the Reverend Dr. Joseph Oguzie Ibe, Dean of Academic Affairs both of ICU. Present the ceremony were the parents and well-wishers of the graduands.
