Dr. Jayne Obioma (OJ) Onwumere, the Group Managing Director of The PWAN (Property World Africa Network) GROUP and a real estate mogul is set to speak at the 4th Young African Women Congress (YAWC) in Accra, Ghana.

She will address a controversial issue which seem to overwhelm the women empowerment agenda and gives room for lack of will power on the part of political leaders and policy makers to prevail.

She will deliver an insightful presentation on the topic, “Women in Leadership: Beyond Quota Systems, Where are the Women?” on Monday 22nd July, 2019 as part of major sessions of the congress.

Having received numerous awards in real estate and women empowerment including that of The 2018 Most Influential Real Estate Woman of The Year in Nigeria and an Honorary Doctorate Degree, Dr. OJ Onwumere leads a team of 12 Managing Directors with over 150 Direct Staffs spread across the 12 Affiliate Companies that make up the PWAN Group and over 30 thousand Independent Real Estate Professionals generally called Partners/ Consultants who are greatly empowering and changing lives in Nigeria and beyond.

She owns and manages estates in Nigeria and regularly empowers women to start their own Businesses or improve existing ones through her Empowerment for All Women Program.

A Lifelong Learner, Dr. OJ Onwumere is an Alumni of Lagos Business School, Nigeria and is presently participating in the Owner President Management Program at the Prestigious Harvard Business School, Boston Massachusetts, USA.

YAWC is opened to young women of Africa within the age limits of 18 and 45 who wish to be a part of the biggest platform for women empowerment in Africa.

The platform promotes knowledge sharing and intellectual discourse and most importantly, engenders a strong sense of belonging which propels participants to become change makers in their immediate environments while affecting the continent as a whole. These are achieved through keynote presentation, panel discussions and group brainstorming sessions as well as fun trips among others.

Registration is currently on-going and interested participants can log on to the official website for the Young African Women Congress 2019, www.yawcafrica.org to register and join the biggest gathering of women in Africa.
