Nigerian trader remanded for allegedly exposing baby to danger

Accra, March 1, GNA - A 27-year-old Nigerian trader on

Tuesday appeared before a Circuit Court in Accra for allegedly

exposing her one-year-old child to danger. Uche Nagani pleaded not guilty and was remanded

in police custody while the child is in the custody of the police. She would re-appear on March 9. Nagani wearing a short dress and unkempt hair, told

the court that she had information that her Nigerian boyfriend

was flirting with other women and therefore visited a hotel

frequently used by her boyfriend to look for him. The Police informed the court that this was the third time

the accused had committed the offence therefore, the court

asked the police to assist her with counselling. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sarah Acquah

her baby in the care of one Achiama, her friend at the Kwame

Nkrumah Circle, Accra, to look for her boyfriend at the hotel. ASP Acquah said Achiama reported the case to the Police

and Nagani was picked up at dawn. She said Nagani had signed two undertakings at the
