Nkoranza (B/A), June 24, GNA - Members of the Nkoranza South District Teachers Welfare Club have elected a seven-member executive for a four year term to ensure effective organisation of the activities of the club.
The executives have Mr Kwadwo Adu-Wusu as chairman, Mr Owusu Gyamfi Doyefe, vice-chairman, Mr Raymond Akelsinye, secretary, Mr Fiadzo Fidelix, assistant secretary and Mr Kwasi Asafo-Adjei, treasurer.
The others are Mr Sakyi Agbenozi, organiser and Mr Osei Fosu, representing the District Education Office.
Madam Philippa Banson, Nkoranza South District Director of Education, addressing a delegation of the club, prior to the elections commended them for establishing the club.
She urged the executives to be very transparent in dealing with the finances of the club to maintain the trust and confidence reposed in them by the members.
The District Director advised them to draw an annual time-table to meet teachers in the district to inform them on the successes and challenges of the club.
Madam Banson appealed to them to ensure timely payment of benefits due members, saying that, such good practices would encourage members to contribute towards the growth of the club.
Mr Adu-Wusu expressed his gratitude to the members for the confidence reposed in them and pledged they would work assiduously to enhance members' welfare.
