'High dollar' forced company's collapse
The owner of a New Zealand building company which crashed last week says it is a victim of the high New Zealand dollar.Stephen Wedd, 60, said two projects collapsed leaving Whitianga kitset home exporter WECA International (NZ) Ltd with a $96,365 debt.
He said a project to supply 1000 six-toilet buildings to Ghana, worth $700,000, was cancelled after the high dollar almost doubled the cost.
