The Head Pastor of the Calvary Charismatic Church (CCC), Rev. Ransford Obeng, has charged Christians not to give up on God in the midst of temptation and tribulations.
Speaking in a sermon at a watch night service to usher in 2018, Rev. Obeng noted that things of the world have limitations but God has no limits, hence men must put their trust in God and not man.
Quoting from Psalm 27:10, the Man of God said, “when my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will take care of me” urging believers to take solace in this verse in the Bible as Christ will not forsake his children.
“Don’t put your faith in men, they will fail you, Jesus will never fail. The bank in heaven does not deplete, resources are bountiful there,” he said.
The powerful Man of God urged the youth to be focused in doing things that are right in the eyes of God and not man.
He further encouraged them to always pray for favour in their dealings.
Rev. Obeng said 2018 promises to be a year of fulfilment of big dreams in both Ghana and the Christian faith in the world over.
“Divine things will happen in the New Year, don’t put your faith in material things but in God the provider and giver of life,” he stated.
Rev. Obeng prophesized into the life of the youth who are unemployed to prepare themselves for brighter opportunities.
He used the opportunity to urge government to prosecute and retrieve monies stolen by persons put in higher places to the detriment of the development of the nation.
“Persons causing financial loss to the state must be arrested and made to pay back such monies,” he suggested.
