Archbishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, has extended appreciation to fellow clergymen and women for their support and prayers following his recent arrest by the Ghana Police Service over his son's involvement in an accident that claimed the life of two ladies.

The arrest stemmed from a fatal car accident involving his son and another vehicle, which tragically claimed the lives of two children, Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh.

In a press statement, the archbishop expressed gratitude to a long list of men and women of God who stood by him during the difficult period.

Among those acknowledged were Bishop Dag Heward Mills, Rev. Eastwood Anaba, Bishop N. A. Tackie Yarboi, Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, and Rev. Obofour, among many others.

He emphasised that their prayers and personal outreach played a role in helping him and his family navigate this challenging time.

In the press statement, he once again extended his condolences to the families of the victims.

“He continues to extend his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased victims, whose lives were tragically cut short, in addition to a recent video released by him in an effort to offer sincere apology and condolences on 18/10/2024.

“As a parent, the archbishop is devastated by the pain and suffering this incident has caused, understanding that no words can truly alleviate the grief of losing a child. Archbishop Salifu Amoako and his family wish to express their sincere apologies and ask for forgiveness from the parents and families of the deceased,” part of the statement said.

He also expressed commitment to cooperating with ongoing legal proceedings and assured the families of his willingness to support them in any way possible
