Nothing can stop the victory of Bawumia - Ofoe Teye

The New Patriotic Party Chairman for the Tema East Constituency, Nene Ofoe Teye-Chu Agbadiagba IV and a manager at the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, has reiterated that the victory of the NPP’s presidential candidate in the 2024 elections is a done deal.

In an exclusive interview with journalists in Ada on Friday, Nene said every factor in the art of politicking speaks volumes to this.

“First, Dr. Bawumia has eloquently put out cogent policies that he will pursue as president; none of his challengers, especially the National Democratic Congress presidential candidate, John Mahama, has been able to do same.

“Second is that, Dr. Bawumia is running on the ticket of the party which has introduced the most daring developmental policies, such as free SHS, one village, one dam, planting for food and jobs and NABCO,” Nene said.

But even more importantly, Nene said that Dr. Bawumia, unlike his main opponent, John Mahama, has no corruption tags on him.

“If you listen to many voters too, they tell you that the 2024 election will be a decider between analogue governance and digital governance; with John Mahama looking to distribute hen coops while Dr. Bawumia is pushing the transformational agenda of digitalization.”

The chicken coop distribution reference comes in the wake of widespread parody of the former President’s recent promise to help Ghanaians go into poultry farming by providing chicken coops so they can rear chickens to produce eggs and meat that they can sell and eat.

According to many on social media, that promise is rather backwards at a time when serious countries around the world are subverting their poultry farmers to undertake large-scale farming rather than operating hen coops.

“What is funny about the chicken coop promise is that already, under the rearing for food and jobs programme of government, we are assisting poultry farmers with feed and chicks to expand poultry farms,” Nene Ofoe Teye-Chu Agbadiagba IV said.

He adds that “Mr. Mahama’s backward promise shows you that he has not even been keeping himself abreast of happenings in the country; why would Ghanaians risk this country again in his hands?” Nene asked.

Nene Agbadiagba also said Dr. Bawumia’s selection of Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as his running mate is another genius move that has prepared the grounds for a massive victory in the 2024 elections.

“We are winning by one touch and nothing can stop the upcoming victory which will also be historic because it will for the first time in Ghanaian politics, break the unspoken eight-year relay rule,” Nene Ofoe Teye-Chu Agbadiagba IV concluded.
