"Nothing will happen,” says Social Commentator and former NDC Central Regional Chairman, Bernard Allotey Jacobs in response to reports of 'war drum' being beaten by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The opposition NDC says the Electoral Commission’s insistence on compiling a new voters register is a recipe for disaster.

Former President John Dramani Mahama, says the Electoral Commission “should tread cautiously. They shouldn’t do something that will bring confusion and chaos in this country. If they don’t want to listen to us and continue with the new registration then, whatever will happen, they have to bear the consequences.”

Meanwhile, the NDC and other smaller political parties have sworn to keep agitating until the EC changes its decision.

Contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, the former Central Regional Chairman of the NDC said, “In every election year there’s always insinuation and innuendos. It’s been part of our politics; nothing will happen period . . . I call it the battle of wits."
