Nsawam (E/R), Aug. 19, GNA - The Nsawam Police has been commended for their efforts in flushing out criminals for business to flourish in the area.

Mr Robert Attah Owusu, Chairman of the Mobile Phone Sellers Association of Nsawam in the Akwapim South District of the Eastern Region made the commendation at a meeting of members of the Association. He said Superintendent Otchere Boapea, Police Commander at Nsawam and his men had brought peace to traders, who hitherto were harassed by criminals, who hid in bushes along the Densu River and in uncompleted buildings at Adaakoge, near Nsawam.

Mr Owusu said these criminals, who operated with dangerous weapons; robbed traders of their mobile phones, wristwatches and monies "but with the efforts of the Police we are now free to do our businesses". The members appealed to the Police Administration to provide the Police at Nsawam with more logistics to enable them to carry out their operations efficiently since Nsawam was a big commercial town. 19 Aug. 04
