Nsoatre (Brong Ahafo), 10 Nov.,
The Nsuatreman Youth Association at Nsoatre, near Sunyani, is spending about 15 million cedis to renovate the local community centre built about 35 years ago. The community centre is in a very deplorable state with leakages in the roof in addition to weak doors and windows. The secretary of the association, Mr. Yaw Asante-Krobea, told the Ghana News Agency at Nsoatre that some individual businessmen and organisations in the area are providing material support towards the execution of the project, while members of the association provide communal labour. According to Mr. Asante-Krobea, the management of the Nsoatreman Rural Bank had provided 80 bags of cement and 25 gallons of paint towards the project. The local council of Churches at Nsoatre has donated 10 bags of cement for the same purpose, while Mr. F.O. Kyeremateng, a Kumasi-based contractor and a native of Nsoatre, has provided six trips of sand and gravels, a quantity of electrical fittings, 50 bags of cement and other items towards the project.
