Nurideen Iddrisu a native of Wa, the Upper West Regional capital has declared his intention to contest the flag bearer position of the National Democratic Congress NDC when nominations are opened in 2018.
Mr Nurideen who in 2010 contested and lost Deputy National Organizer position of the NDC, said he is now ready to handle the flag of the party with support from the grassroot.
Briefing the media in Wa, Mr Nurideen Iddrisu indicated that he is in the Upper West Region to support the reorganization of the NDC after their defeat in the 2016 elections while he used the opportunity as a native to declare his intention for the flag bearer race of the main opposition party.
" I have since interacted with the elders of the party, Regional Executives of the party." He said.
"I wish to state without any fear of contradiction that the Executives are resolute with desirable energies in their quest to unite the ranks of the party in the region.
"I have the intention to contest for the flag bearer of the great NDC when nominations are opened by the party in 2018. I have since been doing consultations regarding my intention with party elders and faithful. You will agree with me that, such a consultation will be defective if I do not consult the people of my own region."
Nurideen Iddrisu is a Banker, Businessman, an Oil and gas Consultant and a politician. He is an activist of the NDC party.
He started his career as a Corporate Services Manager at Standard Charted bank in 2006 and later as a credit Analyst in 2008.
Mr Nurideen joined Oando Ghana Limited as the Business Development manager in 2009 and later help the company to create the Bulk Distribution Company (BDC), Ebony oil and gas.
Nurideen resigned from the Oando in 2012 and created his own BDC called the Deen Petroleum Ghana Limited which he handed over as the Chief executive officer in 2014 and has now become the Executive Chairman of the Company.
