Nzema youth appeal to Prez Mahama to retain MDCEs

A group calling itself Concerned Youth for Nzema, has made an appeal to President John Dramani Mahama to retain the three Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) in Nzema land.

According to them, the DCE for Ellembelle, Mr. Daniel K. Eshun, the DCE for Jomoro, Mr. Sylvester Dadie and the MCE for Nzema-East, Mr. Ackah Cobbinah contributed immensely towards the victory of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2012 general elections.

Spokesperson to the group, Mr. Daniel Adeah-Kaku, made the appeal to President Mahama in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Bomoakpole in the Ellembelle District on Saturday.

He noted that the DCE for Ellembelle had worked hard to bring more developments to the area and also campaigned vigorously during the elections and must be allowed to continue with his work.

Mr. Adeah-Kaku said in consultation with the three local government officials in Nzema, they have pledged to further push the development agenda forward as part of the Better Ghana Agenda if the President renewed their mandates for another 4-year term.

He conveyed the group's gratitude to President Mahama for appointing Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, Mr. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah as Energy and Petroleum Minister.

He asked the President to be focused but not be swayed by the divisive tactics of the opposition New Patriotic Party.
