MY VISION STATEMENT

VOTE

OBAA YAA AMPONSAH FRIMPONG
AS NPP-USA BRANCH CHAIRPERSON

THEME: EXPANDING OUR COLLECTIVE POTENTIAL

Fellow Patriots,
“The experience of democracy is like the experience of life itself that’s always changing, infinite in its variety, sometimes turbulent and all the more valuable for having been tested by adversity.” Jimmy Carter:
On this note, I present myself to you as a candidate for the Chairperson position of NPP-USA Branch in our upcoming 2018 Branch election slated for March 15th through to March 17th, 2018. As a candidate, I stand to implement a viable visionary plan that would guide and direct NPP-USA to lead our Branch effectively and efficiently in accordance with our branch bylaws, the constitution of our party backed by good governance principles once elected into the position of Branch Chairperson.

My priority among other things is to vigorously address issues that confronts us as a party and as diasporans through collaboration with our mother party in Ghana and government. I ask with the Spirit of humility to the membership of our great tradition and Branch to stand with me in expanding our collective potential.

I stand on my record as a Founding member of NPP-Colorado Chapter and a team member and part of the leadership of NPP-USA over the years that endured opposition for 8 years, and did not fret, but worked hard, sacrificed, devised and executed a strategic plan that supported the drive for a successful victory of our party.

We still have so much more work ahead as a Branch to help shape policies of our government that will help sustain the victory we have attained for years to come and our contribution as diasporans to the development of Ghana.
The tasks ahead require inclusiveness, a sturdy hand, competence, hard work, result-oriented and a people centered leader to take the NPP-USA branch to the next level of expanding our collective potential.

I am a servant leader and with humility, I submit myself and ask for your vote as your next Branch Chairperson and together usher in a new dawn of leadership approach that will take our Branch to greater heights.

Thank you

VISION FOR MY ASPIRED POSITION TO BECOME A SERVANT LEADER
THE SERVANT AS LEADER

Robert K. Greenleaf in The Servant as Leader, said:
“The servant-leader is servant first… It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first. Then conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead. That person is sharply different from one who is leader first, perhaps because of the need to assuage an unusual power drive or to acquire material possessions…The leader-first and the servant-first are two extreme types. Between them there are shadings and blends that are part of the infinite variety of human nature.

A servant-leader focuses primarily on the growth and well-being of people and the communities to which they belong. While traditional leadership generally involves the accumulation and exercise of power by one at the “top of the pyramid,” servant leadership is different. The servant-leader shares power, puts the needs of others first and helps people develop and perform as highly as possible”.

In light of the above quote, I aspire to become part of you, work with you and serve with you:
