Obinim Again! New video shows him stomping on pregnant lady

There is little doubt that some Ghanaians are gullible and prefer rather to be told stories by so called prophets or fortune tellers.

Bishop Daniel Obinim of International God's Way Church has been making the news lately since he publicly castigated those who reckon he is a charlatan exploiting his church members particularly reserving scathing words for Jeremiah John Rawlings and Afia Schwarzenegger.

Just as the dust seems to have settled, a video has emerged showing Obinim stomping on the tummy of a supposed pregnant lady apparently casting demons from her.

It is little wonder that a viewer amazed by what was unfolding before her eyes captured the bemusing spectacle and later uploaded the visual online.

But a series of questions emerge which require answers. Being that the channel on which the video aired was Adom TV, operated by the Multimedia Group. Why did the operators allow for such dubious content to be aired?

What does Obinim seek to gain by these theatrics, to have more membership or just abuse church members just because he can?

As a minister of the gospel, does Florence Obinim condone the ways of her husband and if not, why the long silence without stating her position?

Are the church members in a trance not to have realised the harmful activities Obinim engages in or have they been brainwashed such that they see Obinim as God and that everything he says and does is holy and final?

What action is the National Media Commission and station managers taking to curtail the abuse of some of these so called men of God?

What checks do state regulators conduct before sanctioning the operations of Obinim and his ilk and are they not empowered to initiate cases in court should wrongdoing be found?

Interestingly, a check on Bishop Daniel Obinim’s facebook page reveals 4662 likes indicating that he has a sizeable following who approve of his ways.

Daniel Obinim was born on Monday, 29th August 1977 at Hemang in the Kwabre District to Opanin Kwadwo Bonsu from Sepaa and Madam Abena Dapaah from Kwabre Hemang.

Education wise, we are informed the Bishop, also known as Prophet, started his basic education in 1983 at Asem Boys in Bompata and completed in 1992.

Regarding his ministry, the International God's Way Church began as a fellowship at the Asawase King Faisal School Pitch in 2000 with only 2 members but after 6 months the number increased to 50 and then 200.

Since 2004, the church established base at Kwabre Kenyase Bosore serving as its headquarters.

Gaining more ground, the church has eight 8 branches with footprints in Accra, Tema, Koforidua, Asante Akim Agogo, Konongo, Sunyani and Obuasi.
