Nana Obiri Boahen, NPP Deputy General Secretary Nana Obiri Boahen, NPP Deputy General Secretary

Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Obiri Boahen has refuted allegations that the party's vigilante group, Invincible Forces, has forcefully taken over the Kintampo waterfalls.

The Invincible Forces were alleged by a traditional ruler at Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo Region to have driven away the authorities of the waterfalls and taken over management of the site.

The group was accused of partly contributing to the tragic incident that occurred at the waterfalls last weekend, due to their shoddy maintenance of the facility.

But the NPP Deputy Chief Scribe debunked the claims in an interview with Class FM, saying "I doubt if the Invincible Forces have taken over the management of the Kintampo Falls. I don’t have any information to that effect . . . Some people claiming to be Invincible Forces of NPP in the area took over the facility and all efforts to get them out have been unsuccessful."

Speaking in relation to the comments made by Obiri Boahen, the Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide, Kweku Baako has cautioned him to stop talking.

Kweku Baako feared Obiri Boahen may make a blunder if he continues to talk to the media.

He noted that, as for media practitioners, they will keep asking questions and should the NPP Deputy Secretary continues to make comments in the airwaves; he may fall into the media trap.

“He shouldn’t talk too much. It’s not every issue that when radio personalities call him that he should talk," Mr. Baako advised.
