Oda Youth Wing of the NPP elects executives

Akim Oda (E/R), Oct. 3, GNA - A nine-member Executive of the Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Akim Oda Constituency was elected and sworn into office at the weekend, for a four-year term.

The Birim South District Chief Executive, Mr Yaw Amprofi, who addressed the Executives, which, has Mr Kwasi Mensah, as the Chairman, observed that any political party that ignored the development of its youth wing, would be spelling its doom. He urged the Party's activists to work hard to ensure a massive victory for the NPP in Election 2004.

Mr Isaac Obeng, Constituency Organiser, advised Party loyalists to be abreast with Government policies and programmes to be able to educate the electorate to make informed choices on the polling day. Alhaji Ibrahim Sumaila, the Constituency Secretary, told the Ghana News Agency, that the three-and-a-half years rule of the NPP had led to an improvement in the provision of infrastructure in the Constituency. Mr Osei Frimpong, Special Assistant to the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, urged Party supporters to close their ranks and to convince more people to retain the NPP in power.
