Odasco 2004 batch gears up for Homecoming

The 2004 Year group of Oda Senior High School over the weekend launched the preparation towards their homecoming celebration slated for December 2014 at Afrikiko Gardens- Accra.

Per the school’s tradition, a student becomes a legitimate old student, after ten years of completion. Old Student of Oda Senior High School are referred to as Nananon (Kings)

To mark this year’s occasion, an Organizing Committee was has been put in place to see to the general organization of the program and agree on a package to give the school just as us done by previous groups.

Speaking at the Lauch, a member of the Finance Committee called on all members of the 2004 year group to contribute towards the success of the program.

He indicated that in a matter of days, the Finance Committee was going to open an account for the purpose of the Homecoming Celebration to enable members make their required contribution towards the program wherever they are they are called upon to do school.

He assured member that the Finance Committee would be meticulous in the application of the resources that would be placed at their disposal and diligently account for every penny given for the of the Homecoming Celebration.

He also called on his colleagues to take up the responsibility of publicizing the program and not only look to the Organizing committee to do everything.

Members with any expertise relevant in the Organization of the program were called upon to bring them onboard.

He called on past senior Nananom to bring their experience in the organization of their Homecoming to the fore to enable the current group tap into.

Members in the diaspora were also called upon to contribute in any form towards the program and also pay every contribution required from members.

This year’s Homecoming is expected to be the biggest in the history of the School.

Oda Secondary was one of the model schools established by the First President of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in 1960.

It has since been one of the best Second Cycle Institutions in the country.
